The vocation to be a spiritual mother for priests is largely unknown, scarcely understood and, consequently, rarely lived, notwithstanding its fundamental importance. It is a vocation that is frequently hidden, invisible to the naked eye, but meant to transmit spiritual life.
Ordination Mass of Father William Carmona Lopez, at Christus Santa Rosa Hospital chapel. He was a seminarian at Assumption Seminary in San Antonio, Texas, studying for the Diocese of Nashville, TN.
Recently, he found out that he is dying, in his last stage of cancer. His bishop flew out from Nashville on Monday, September 8, 2014, to ordain him a deacon and a priest in the hospital. Archbishop Garcia of San Antonio was also present for the Mass, along with Father’s seminarian brothers.
It is a very touching and simple celebration. Father is off to one side, participating from his hospital bed, in critical condition. Please pray for him and for all our seminarians.
